This year’s MET Gala, just like every year, had its share of glitter and glam. Celebrities descended in their utmost fashionable forms celebrating the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit. Ever year has a theme to the star’s dress and this year it was Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons or Art of the In-Between. And boy the celebrities didn’t let us down. Especially our own brown beauties, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, who made a dramatic debut entrance.
Clad in a Ralph Lauren trench coat gown, Priyanka finished off the bold look with a sultry updo and dramatic makeup. Following her seductive image in the media, she had a thigh high slit showing off her toned legs encased in black leather boots. PeeCee came as a date of Nick Jonas who clearly looked like he had hit the lottery!
And although the media’s attention was on the several feet long drag of Priyanka’s trench coat, there was another Indian beauty walking the ramp and giving off her angel like vibes. Deepika Padukone made a presence at the gala in a white bridal satin gown and simple aura. The silk slip dress with diamante straps, an embellished headband and chandelier earrings made Deepika look like a sweet sight for sore eyes. She was accompanied at the event by Tommy Hilfiger and Dee Ocleppo.
