Hyderabad: Filmmaker Puri Jagannadh confirmed the release date of his forthcoming film titled “Jyothi Lakshmi”, starring actress Charmy Kaur in a lead role. Puri took to Twitter and announced the release date as June 12. He also said that the film has completed the censor formalities and bagged U/A certificate. On Twitter, Charmy wrote that the members of censor board loved and enjoyed the movie.
Charmy, who is excelled in performing female-centric roles with ease, is playing the major role as Jyothi Lakshmi in the much-hyped drama. Written and directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film already earned enough fame with its trailer and audio.
Earlier, there was a buzz that the film is based on a South Indian actress of the same name and was also heard that it is an adaptation of a novel. But Charmy refuted the reports and clarified that it is not based on a biopic and is not an adaptation.
“Jyothi Lakhsmi” is expected to revolve around the life of a small time heroine, who faces troubles in the film industry. Sunil Kashyap scored tunes to this all-out commercial entertainer and the album was received well by the audience.
