Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra was forced to apologize for a fictitious plotline in one of the show’s controversial episodes. The American T.V., series revolves around Alex Parrish played by Ms. Chopra.  

In a recent episode released on the 1st of June shows Parrish trying to stop a Pakistani terror attack. However, the investigator Parrish finds the Pakistanis are being framed by Hindu nationalists. This caused an unnecessary burst of anger among Indians leading to protests.

Protesters held placards with Chopra’s picture and the caption, “Priyanka Chopra is a traitor. Send her to Pakistan.” The actress decided to take to Twitter to prove her love for her country. In the post, Chopra said, “I’m extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of Quantico. That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologize. I’m a proud Indian and that will never change (sic.)”

The ABC studios and executive producers of Quantico have also tendered an apology for the episode.
