Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Padmavati, has been mixed up in controversies from the beginning. Starting with the film sets being vandalized and set on fire, now a local artist’s work also has been ruined.
Karan K., an artist from Surat, Gujarat, spent 48 hours to create a beautiful rangoli of Deepika Padukone’s look in Padmavati. This painstaking artwork was ruined by narrow minded individuals holding a grudge against the depiction of queen Padmavati.
A group of around 100 people screaming ‘Jai Shree Ram’ destroyed the brilliant rangoli within seconds.
Karan was genuinely inspired by the film and decided to create a masterpiece. But a bunch of ignorant brutes decided to ruin a beautiful art that took hours of blood, sweat and tears.
The disappointed artist posted a picture of his art and the wreckage after on Twitter.

Our country is supposed to be one that respects and lives among diversity but these actions show otherwise. No matter the grudge against the film, vandalism and hate is not the solution. If you feel strongly against something, use peaceful ways to promote your anger and hate like Karan used his love for the film to create art.
