The investigation into the Sushant Singh Rajput Death case continued with a drug angle in it.
After a special court of Mumbai rejected the plea of Bollywood actress Rhea Chakeaborty and denied bail, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) took Ms. Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty and 4 others into the custody.
The NBC interrogated Rhea Chakraborty, following which she confessed about consuming drugs and named a few Bollywood stars who consumed Narcotic substances.
Rhea, in her statement to NCB, had reportedly accepted her role in procuring drugs for Sushant and also handling the finances.
The actress during the interrogation said many Bollywood celebrities like Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, designer Simon Khambatta, filmmaker Mukhesh Chhabra and Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager Rohini Iyer also consume narcotic substances.
The drug angles in the Sushant Singh Rajput Death case started after a few WhatsApp chats of Rhea Chakraborty mentioning drugs were revealed. Rhea further said, 80% of Bollywood is on drugs.
In addition to the aforementioned big Bollywood names, 15 other celebrities who consume and procure drugs.
In regard to this, the NCB is likely to summon 25 prominent Bollywood stars in the drug investigations.
In addition to the NCB, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are also investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
Both the ED and the CBI filed a case against actor Rhea Chakraborty in connection to the Sushant death case.
Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput on the 14th of June allegedly committed suicide at his Bandra residence in Mumbai.
Initially, the case was being investigated by the Mumbai Police. However, after several petitions in the SC and pressure from social media, the case was handed over to the CBI.
As of now, due to the drugs and the money laundering angle, the NCB and the ED are also involved in the late actor’s death investigation.
