Bollywood actor Salman Khan received a death threat via e-mail, on the 19th of March, Sunday. He informed the police and registered a case against the same.
On the 20th of March, the Mumbai Police started an investigation and beefed up security at the residence of Mr. Salman Khan. In addition, the actor has been given Y+Category protection, after the e-mail.
Moreover, after an initial investigation, it is suspected that the threat e-mail could be from the underworld don Lawrence Bishnoi. It is noted, in a recent interview, don Lawrence Bishnoi said that his life’s aim is to kill Salman Khan.
Now, days after that interview, Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan received that threatening e-mail, therefore, the Mumbai Police associated the two incidents and started an investigation into this angle. Moreover, the such thing has happened before. In 2022, Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan received a death threat, a handwritten letter, outside their Mumbai Bungalow. After the initial investigation, that time too Lawrence Bishnoi was the main suspect.
Besides filing a case, the actor also submitted an application, seeking license for a gun, in the view of self safety.
