The final rites of veteran singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam would be held on the afternoon of the 26th of September.
K. Palaniswami, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, said the last rites of the late Mr. Balasubrahmanyam would be held with full police honours.
From kids to senior residents, folks lined up on the sides of the freeway in the direction of Thiruvallur district at a number of spots together on the Crimson Hills junction, to pay their final respects.
A number of men stood on the highway medians to shower flower petals on the van carrying the singer’s remains.
The van needed to be slowed down or halted to permit folks to pay their final respects at quite a few areas.
Regardless of restrictions because of the Coronavirus pandemic, SPB’s residence noticed a crowd of followers, well wishers and political personalities.
A heavy police force was deployed to control the crowd in the wake of the Novel Coronavirus.
On the 25th of September, legendary singer of Tollywood, Kollywood and Bollywood, Mr. S. P. Balasubrahmanyam passed away.
Mr. Balasubrahmanyam 74, passed away at 1:04 P.M., at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Healthcare Hospital, Chennai.
Mr. Balasubrahmanyam was hospitalised after testing positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19) on the 5th of August. Though he tested negative on the 9th of September, he was critical and on life support.
A team of multi specialist doctors were observing S.P. Balasubrahmanyam.
After several days at the hospital and treatment, S.P. Balasubrahmanyam took his last breath on the 25th of September.
S.P. Balasubrahmanyam is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
The last rites of Mr. Balasubrahmanyam would be held at his farmhouse at the Red Hills area of Chennai.
His mortal remains would be kept at his farmhouse for final tribute from followers, fans and celebrities.
