On the 24th of August, S.P. Charan, the son of veteran singer S.P. Balasubrahmanya released a video dismissing rumours about his father being negative of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
S.P. Charan said, “I usually post Appa’s health updates after I have a discussion with the medical team from the hospital. But, unfortunately, I am forced to put up a post in the morning. I am the only one who gets the information about dad. All information comes to me first and only then I post it to the media. Today, unfortunately, rumours are going around that dad has tested negative for COVID.”
Mr. Charan said, “As of today, Dad’s health condition remains in the same state as yesterday. The doctors have stated that he is still critical. There are a few rumours floating the web that Dad is off the ventilator and is on the road to recovery. Although we wish that is true, it is fake news. He is still on ventilator support and the medical team is closely examining his health.”
Singer S.P. Bala Subrahmanyam is currently undergoing treatment at the MGM Hospital in Chennai.
He was admitted to the hospital after being tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
He was even on the ventilator support after his condition started worsening.
S.P. Charan said he would post about his father’s health condition in the evening of the 24th of August, after discussion with the doctors of MGM hospital Chennai.
However, despite being on life support, Balasubrahmanyam is in stable condition and under observation of a multi specialist doctors’ team.
