Bollywood actresses the late Sridevi and Rekha are the names chosen for the prestigious ANR National Award.
On the 14th of November, Akkineni Nagarjuna announced Rekha and the late Sridevi as the recipients of the Award, which was introduced by the Akkineni International Foundation. The ANR National Award was instituted in memory of legendary Tollywood star and Nagarjuna’s father, Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR.)
Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn was the first one to get the ANR National Award, which was introduced in 2006.
The committee decided to honour the late Sridevi and Rekha with the ANR National Award for their contribution to the Indian film industry for 2018 and 2019 respectively.
Both the actresses contributed to the film industry and gave several blockbusters. While Sridevi is the recipient of ANR National Award 2018, Rekha is the recipient of the same for 2019.
Both the actresses would be honoured with the ANR National Award during an event scheduled to be conducted on the 17th of November at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad, Telangana.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, the chief guest at the event, would give the ANR National Award for 2018 and 2019 to the estate of Sridevi and Rekha.
