On the 22nd of March, late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chhicchore won the best Hindi film award at the 67th National Film Awards.
Soon after the announcement, Twitterati flooded Twitter remembering the late actor. The jubilant mood of Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans reflected on social media – on Twitter, #Chhichhore has been trending big time. The euphoric posts include popular dialogues from the 2019 film, montages remembering the late actor who starred in the lead role and a lot more. Expressing mixed emotions over the film’s win but the absence of Sushant Singh Rajput on the big day, a Twitter user wrote: “Your film got national award but you are not with us.”
In addition, to Chhichhore as the best Hindi film, the best actress award was given to Kangana Ranaut for her role in Manikarnkika.
Best Actor award at 67th National Film Awards was shared between two actors. Manoj Bajpayee got awarded for his film Bhonsle. Another star won best actor, Dhanush for his Tamil film Asuran also won the Best Actor award.
Best Feature Film was awarded to Mohanlal starrer Marakkar.
Best Direction award went to Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan for Bahattar Hoorain (Hindi.)
Best Non-feature film went to a documentary directed by Hemant Gaba, An Engineered Dream.
