Mumbai: Actress Tabu has replaced the veteran actress Rekha in the forthcoming film “Fitoor”, starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. Earlier, Rekha was roped in to play the role of Miss Havisham in the movie but now Tabu will be doing the role.
It is heard that Rekha was not happy with a few scenes that had already been shot and wanted to have a second go in front of the camera.
Movie-geek Rajeev Masand took to Twitter and confirmed the news, “Tabu replaces Rekha as the Miss Havisham character in Great Expectations adap Fitoor starring Aditya Roy Kapoor & Katrina Kaif.”
Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, “Fitoor” is based on Charles Dickens’ novel Great Expectations. Filmmaker Siddharth Roy Kapur is producing the movie. The romantic drama is expected to hit big screens in February 2016.
