On the 17th of April, Tamil actor and comedian Vivekh passed away.
Vivekh, 59 year old, died at 4:45 A.M., due to a cardiac arrest at a private hospital in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. According to doctors, the actor had a 100% blockage in the LAD (left anterior descending artery) vessel which led to a massive cardiac arrest.
The hospital even released a media bulletin, according to which Vivekh was in a critical condition and was on ECMO support. However, the cardiac arrest of the actor was not linked with the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19, as he recently took the doses of COVID-19 vaccination.
Vivekh was admitted to SIMS Hospital in Chennai on the morning of the 16th of April, after showing ‘acute coronary syndrome with cardiogenic shock. Later he underwent emergency coronary angiogram followed by angioplasty.
Tamil actors like Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth expressed grief over the demise of actor Vivekh.
Also known as ‘Chinna Kalaivaanar’, Vivek received several awards for his performances in more than 200 movies. In 2009, the actor was conferred with the Padma Shri, the highest civilian award in India.
Kamal Haasan took to Twitter and said, “An actor’s duty does not end with acting, and it extends to giving back to the community that elevated him. My friend Vivekh lived up to this with his social service. As someone who lived up to Kalam’s dream by adding greenery to the planet, his passing has left Tamil Nadu bereft.”
South Indian start Dhanush said, “Vivek Sir 💔.”
In another tweet, Ranganathan Madhavan said, “RIP @Actor_Vivek sir.Heart broken and stunned that you would embark on your heavenly journey so suddenly and early.The world is deprived of a truly good man who genuinely cared for everyone and everything in it. I will miss your laughter, wisdom and care.The heavens are lucky.”

The final rites of actor Vivekh is scheduled to be held on the evening of the 17th of April in Chennai.
