Telangana Government Permits Tollywood Shooting Amid COVID-19 Outbreak

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) on the 8th of June, allowed the Tollywood movies and shows to be shot in Telangana.

The decision came after a review meeting chaired by K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.

Mr. Rao signed the official press note on the 8th of June, allowing Tollywood film and TV productions to resume shooting.

However, the permission was given based on the presentation given by the celebrities and producers of the Tollywood industry ensuring social distancing.

Recently, in a meeting with KCR, Tollywood celebrities submitted a presentation containing measures and precautions which would be taken to curb the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.

Meanwhile Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Minister of Telangana, is personally in touch with the celebrities regarding the resumption of shootings.

With this, shops, shopping malls, temples and now Tollywood shoots resumed from the 8th of June.

However, the State Government still prohibited opening of metro services, gym, swimming pools and theatres.

Stay tuned for further updates.
