The Movie Artist Association (MAA) 2021, elections concluded on the 10th of October and the results were announced the same night. The elections for the prestigious Movie Artist Association are organised every year with the appointment of the MAA president to work for the welfare of the Tollywood artists. The fever of MAA elections in the Tollywood industry is no less than the Legislative and Assembly elections.
With the end of the MAA election, the association got its new president. Mr. Manchu Vishnu becomes the new President of the Movie Artists Association. The results were announced on Sunday night after rounds of vote counting. The MAA election was a tough battle between Mr. Manchu Vishnu and Mr. Prakash Raj. However, with 106 extra votes, Mr. Vishnu won the election. It is to be noted, Mr. Prakash Raj secured 270 votes and Mr. Manchu Vishnu secured 381 votes.
Despite the support of Megastar Chiranjeevi and other Tollywood celebrities to Mr. Prakash Raj, Mr. Manchu Vishnu won the election. In yesterday’s election, a total of 883 voters from the Tollywood/Telugu Entertainment Industry were eligible to vote. Of the total, approximately 600-650 members casted votes.
After the victory of Mr. Manchu Vishnu, Tollywood celebrities and actors took to Twitter and congratulated him. Mr. Manchu Vishnu also took to Twitter and posted a tweet.
In his Monday, the 11th of October post, Mr. Manchu Vishnu said, “Before I say anything more on the MAA election, the counting for the Executive Members (EC) members, Joint Secretary and one of the Vice President’s post start at 11 am today. Will talk after that! (sic.)”

However, the election and the process of MAA upset Mr. Naga Babu, who immediately after the results were announced tendered his resignation. In a Twitter post, Mr. Naga Babu confirmed the resignation and said, “Hearty Congratulations to the new President of MAA @iVishnuManchu. Exec.Vice President @actorsrikanth & each and every winner of the New Body of our MAA family #movieartistsassociation.” He further said, “Movie Artists Association is filled with regional feelings and narrow-mindedness. I do not want to continue with an association like this. I am submitting my resignation to my primary membership at the MAA association, goodbye.”
The same post was later posted on the Facebook handle of Mr. Naga Babu.
Meanwhile, Mr. Manchu Vishnu is all set to take over the office charge as the new MAA President soon.
