Renowned choreographer Mr. Shiva Shankar (Master) passed away on the night of the 28th of November, Sunday.
Mr. Shiva Shankar, 72 years old, was diagnosed with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) He was undergoing treatment at the AIG Hospital in Gachibowli Hyderabad, and died while undergoing treatment. According to the AIG doctors, due to a severe form of COVID-19, Shiva Shankar’s lungs were infected, resulting in his death.
Upon hearing the demise of Shiva Shankar, celebrities like Mr. Sonu Sood, Mr. S.S. Rajamouli, Mr. Prabhudeva and others expressed grief and posted condolences on Twitter.
Mr. Sonu Sood, who was in touch with the choreographer and extended financial support said, “Heartbroken to hear about the demise of Shiv Shankar masterji. Tried our best to save him but God had different plans. Will always miss you masterji. May almighty give strength to the family to bear this loss. Cinema will always miss u Sir.”
Highlighting the achievements of Mr. Shiva Shankar, he has worked as a choreographer in more than 800 films of 10 languages. In 2011, he won the National Award in Choreography for the song Dheera Dheera, in S.S. Rajamouli’s Maghadheera. He also worked as an actor in more than 30 films in Tollywood.
Mr. Shiva Shankar is survived by his wife Ms. Suganya Shankar and two sons, Ajay Shankar and Vijay Shankar.
