Geetanjali Ramakrishna, a veteran South Indian actress, passed away on the 31st of October.
Geetanjali was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. According to the doctors, she died of cardiac arrest in the early hours of the 31st of October.
Geetanjali was one of the senior most actresses of the South Indian film industry and did movies in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages. She entered the South Indian film industry with Seetharama Kalyanam (1961.) She acted in more than 500 movies and became famous with noted movies like Doctor Chakravarthy, Letha Manasulu, Bobbili Yuddham, Devatha and Gudachari 116.
The veteran actress was also a part of a few Hindi movies like Paying Guest, Do Kaliyaan and Bandhu.
Geetanjali’s fans took to social media platforms and expressed grief over the demise of the legendary actress.
The last rites of Geetanjali will take place on the evening of the 31st of October.
