Famous Urdu poet Rahat Indori passed away on the 11th of August.
The 70 year old, on the 10th of August, took to Twitter and announced to be positive of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. He was immediately admitted to Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences and was undergoing treatment.
However, on the 11th of August, the veteran poet took his last breath. The poet died due to the Novel Coronavirus in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Dr. Vinod Bhandari, the Director of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, said, “He (Rahat Indori) suffered two heart attacks today and could not be saved… He had 60% pneumonia.” The medical authority said, “Rahat Indori ji succumbed to cardiorespiratory arrest at 4:40 pm on August 11, 2020. He was Covid positive in ARDS, Renal Failure, T22 Diabetes mellitus, hypertension, old cad , left eye glaucoma. He was on ventilator support.”
The last rites of the late poet is likely to be held on the 11th of August.
