IAS officer from Karnataka, Anurag Tiwari’s death has new information that has surfaced. Suresh Kumar Khanna, Uttar Pradesh’s Parliamentary Affairs Minister has claimed Tiwari was on the verge of exposing a huge scam worth thousands of crores in the Karnataka government.

On Thursday, Tiwari’s brother, Mayank spoke to the media and said that his brother, Anurag, was facing a threat to his life from influential people from Karnataka. This statement from the brother followed the minister’s statement about the scam.

B.S. Yeddyurappa, Karnataka’s BJP State President has demanded a probe by the CBI into Tiwari’s death.

The first autopsy of Tiwari did not reveal the actual cause of death that has pushed his family to demand another autopsy for their son.

The second autopsy is being arranged by Karnataka representatives, IAS officers Abhiram Shankar and Pankaj Kumar Pandey. The two flew from Bengaluru to Lucknow on Thursday.

A news channel has reported that Tiwari’s family will arrive in Lucknow on Saturday and share important information about the case.

Tiwari’s brother said, “A couple of months ago, Anurag told me to be careful as some Karnataka Minister was not happy with the way he worked. My brother was thinking of asking for a CBI probe into a scam he had come upon. He was facing pressure from politicians and his own department’s officials.” Once the brother claimed Tiwari was murdered, the matter was taken up by the UP Assembly.

Following this Minister Khanna reported, “It is true that the officer was found dead yesterday but the government ensured the postmortem was conducted by a panel of four doctors, and since the exact cause of death could not be ascertained, the viscera has been preserved.”

The police are at present looking for eyewitnesses who spotted Tiwari’s body at 5:30 A.M. The police are yet to register a case but they have begun to probe into the case.

The first autopsy showed that Tiwari died of asphyxiation but the cause of the shortage of oxygen is yet to be known. The police are in search of Tiwari’s cell phone, an iPhone. Further investigation reveals that the pattern of injuries on Tiwari’s body is confusing.
