Asaduddin Owaisi, the President of the All India Majlis e Ittehadul (AIMIM,) on the 5th of July, criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) plans to conquer Telangana by 2024.
Mr. Owaisi said, “BJP says that they will form a government in Telangana. K Chandrashekar Rao is a staunch Hindu, if Modi goes to two temples, KCR will go to six.”
Highlighting the BJP’s campaign strategy to collect the majority of Hindu votes, Owaisi said, if the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP is planning to conquer Telangana, then it is wrong.
The AIMIM President said, K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Chief Minister of Telangana, is as devoted to Hinduism as PM Modi is. Therefore, the BJP cannot defeat the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in Telangana. Owaisi also mentioned, he is not against Hinduism, but is against Hindutva, which is, nowadays, the campaign strategy of the political parties to gain a majority of votes.
The comments of Owaisi came after the BJP leaders said, by 2024, they will come to power in Telangana. The target of the BJP is said to be the ruling Government of both the Telugu States, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
By winning Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the BJP will have 42 seats more in India, as they have a stronghold in Uttar Pradesh and other states.
In the 18th Lok Sabha elections, the main target of the BJP is to gain power in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
