The response of Mr. Owaisi came after an attack took place against Mohammad Momin in Sector 20, Delhi.
On the 20th of June, three people sitting in a car abused and humiliated Momin. They asked him to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ (words chanted by Hindus.) When he denied to do so, they abused him and hit him with their car.
Momin filed a complaint against the three accused and said, “Some people sitting in the car asked me to shout ‘Jai Shriram’ but I rejected it. After that, they abused me and hit me with a car, in which I got hurt.”
Rohini S.D. Mishra, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP,) said, “We have registered an accident case. However, Mohammed Momin claimed that three boys, who were in a white car, had asked him to say some religious words when he refused, they beat them. Now we are verifying this allegation, CCTV footage will be examined.”
The Delhi police are investigating the registered case.
