Black Buck Poaching Case: Jodhpur Court To Give Verdict

The Black Buck poaching case involving Salman Khan will be reviewed and a verdict from a Jodhpur Court will be heard today. The case registered back in 1998 also names Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre and Tabu. Salman will reach the Court at 11:00 A.M., and the hearing will begin at 11:15 A.M.

The four actors will be present at the Court to hear the verdict. Salman Khan is accused of killing two Black Bucks in Kankani village in Jodhpur. The incident took place in 1998 during the shooting for Hum Saath Saath Hain.

The case charges Salman Khan under Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act. The remaining three actors are being charged under Section 51 and Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the India Penal Code.

Public Prosecutor Bhawani Singh Bhati stated, “All of them were in a Gypsy car that night, with Salman Khan in the driver’s seat. He, on spotting a herd of Black Bucks, shot at and killed two of them.”

Bhati further added, “But on being spotted and chased, they fled from the spot leaving the dead animals there.” The prosecutors are confident there is enough evidence to convict the Bollywood actors.

Salman Khan still continues to plead innocence in the poaching case. The actor stated the deer died of natural causes and he actually saved the animal that night. According to the star, he noticed a herd of Black Bucks and one was stuck in a bush. Khan then states he rescued the deer and gave it water to drink.

According to Salman’s defense, the prosecutors fabricated evidence and are falsely accusing the actor.
