Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the 30th of May, expanded his Government and inducted 60 Cabinet Ministers.

The new ministers appointed by PM Modi took oath in front of Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India.

The newly elected Cabinet Ministers include first timers like Amit Shah, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) Rameswar Teli, Kailash Choudhary, etc.

Out of 60 Cabinet Ministers, 9 are Ministers for State (independent incharge,) 24 are State Ministers and the remaining 25 are Cabinet Ministers.

Here is the list of Cabinet Ministers

All the Cabinet Ministers took the oath with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be responsible for the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. He will also handle Department of Atomic Energy, Space, policy issues, and other portfolios of the Cabinet which are not allocated to any minister.

The oath taking ceremony was conducted on the 30th of May, at 7:00 P.M., at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Delhi.

Approximately 8,000 people attended the ceremony including VVIPs and foreign delegates.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy,   the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Chief Minister of Telangana, were also scheduled to attend the event. However, KCR’s plane was not allowed to land in Delhi, owing to their flight being unscheduled. Therefore, KCR and Jagan Mohan Reddy had to cancel their visit.

After the oath taking ceremony of PM Modi and the Cabinet Ministers, political leaders and BJP members took to Twitter to congratulate the ministers.
