After facing a global outage, social media platforms Whatsapp, Instagram and Facebook were back in action, on the 4th of July.
On the night of the 3rd of July, millions of users across the globe complained they were unable to download images, videos and voice notes. Users took to Twitter and complained about their issues.
Although the issue with Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram was fixed, some of the users are still having trouble downloading and sending images.
The Menlo Park (California) headquartered Facebook, on the 4th of July, took to Twitter and said, “Earlier today, some people and businesses experienced trouble uploading or sending images, videos and other files on our apps and platforms. The issue has since been resolved and we should be back at 100 per cent for everyone. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.”
While Facebook’s issue was resolved, a few users of Instagram and Whatsapp are still facing the same issue.
Instagram took to Twitter and posted, “We’re back! The issue has been resolved and we should be back at 100 per cent for everyone. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.”

According to a Facebook spokesperson, the users faced the issues due to a glitch caused during routine maintenance, but the platforms are back in action now.
