Hit-and-run case: All charges proved against Salman Khan

Mumbai: On Wednesday, Judge D W Deshpande announced that Salman Khan was convicted in 2002 hit-and-run case. He said the actor was behind the wheel on that ill-fated night. The quantum of the sentence is expected to be delivered today.

Salman Khan can approach the sessions court for bail if he is sentenced for less than three years and he would have to approach the High Court of Bombay, if sentence is more than three years. The defence will face the major challenge to file the application as the high court will go on a vacation next week. Salman can apply to the Holiday bench but its upon the bench to take it up or not.

Salman is accused of ramming his car into a shop in Bandra in 2002, killing one and injuring four others. The court is expected to order him to be taken into custody and sent to the nearby jail.
