Hyderabad Police, on the 20th of June, took to Twitter and responded about the resorted lathi charge against Raja Singh, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Goshmaha, Hyderabad.
A senior police official uploaded a video and said, “ About 2 am Raja Singh with his followers tried to install a 20 feet statue at Jummerat Bazar.without any permission in violation of the law. In the process when he was prevented by police he hit himself with a stone on his head and caused a self inflicted injury on his head.”
On the 19th of June, the Hyderabad Police resorted to carrying out a lathi charge against Raja Singh. The police initiated the lathi charge for trying to erect a statue of the freedom fighter Rani Avanti Bai Lodh at Jumet Bazar.
When the Police interrupted Raja and his followers, they started throwing stones at the Police.

However, Raja Singh denied the allegations and said, the Hyderabad Police attacked him and his followers for no reason and manhandled them.
Raja Singh, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also said he would complain about the issue to the Director General Police (DGP) of Hyderabad.
