K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the 10th of May, offered prayers at a temple in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu.

Mr. Rao, along with his wife Shobha Rao, visited the Ramalingeshwara Swamy temple.

Mr. Rao is said to be on a visit to Tamil Nadu to take a break, after the hectic pressure of the Telangana Lok Sabha elections, held on the 11th of April.

Recently, Mr. Rao conducted a meeting with Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala.

It is also expected, on the 12th of May, Mr. Rao will meet M.K. Stalin, the President of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK.)

Initially, Rao was supposed to meet Stalin on the 13th of May, however, due to Stalin’s campaign schedule, the meeting was postponed.

KCR wants to form a third front party by forming an alliance with several small parties across India.

These parties will together form a new government and make the Nation Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Indian National Congress (INC) free.

With regard to the third front, till now, Mr. Rao conducted several meetings with Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, as well as Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of Odisha.

Apart from the two Chief Ministers, KCR also met Mayawati Das and Akhilesh Yadav, the presidents of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Samajwadi Party (SP) respectively.

KCR wants to form the third front before the results of the Lok Sabha elections, which are scheduled to be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
