A sweet seller in Howrah, Kolkata is serving sweets with the symbols of different parties as decorations, ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections.
The shopkeeper made several sweets, representing the different parties which are going to contest the Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal.
Pradip Halar, the shopkeeper, told the media, “As Election Commission has already announced the dates of election, I thought of creating awareness about voting through sweets, it will also enhance the profit. It’s a new method.”
Pradip is not only a great businessman, but also a responsible citizen of India, who, with this unique method, is promoting and creating awareness about the Lok Sabha elections.
Mr. Haldar made several colourful sweets with different badges and party symbols. Some of the sweets which have the colours of orange and green and a lotus sign represent the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
Some other sweets have the symbol of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) engraved on them, while some of the sweets represent the Trinamool Congress (TMC.)
Speaking about the choices of people, Mr. Haldar said, “People are choosing TMC and BJP sweets as of now.”
This unique way of promoting different parties and enhancing business during the elections is outstanding.
This year, even elections are sweet, so select your sweet and select your party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, scheduled from the 11th of April to the 19th of May 2019.
The major parties contesting the Lok Sabha elections are the Indian National Congress (INC) and the BJP.
The results of the Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
