The decision was taken after a party meeting was held, on the 13th of March, at the Party office in Nampally, Hyderabad.

According to sources, the Party also discussed an alliance and it is expected, the TJS will extend its support to the Indian National Congress (INC) for the remaining 13 seats.

When asked about an alliance with the Communist Party of India (CPI,) Mr. Kodandaram said, the CPI did not approach the Party for an alliance.

The TJS would contest in Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Malkajgiri, while the selection of the fourth constituency is still going on.
