The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) on the 2nd of April, started door to door campaign, ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Hydernagar, Telangana.
Janaki Rama Raju, the TRS local corporator, Kavuri Venkatesh, in charge of the TRS in Hydernagar, and Narne Srinivas, a TRS leader, started a campaign for Dr. Ranjith Reddy in Samatha Nagar Colony.
Ranjith Reddy is the Member of Parliament (MP) candidate of the TRS, contesting from the Chevella constituency.
Janaki Rama Raju addressed the media and showed his confidence about the victory of the TRS candidate in the Telangana Lok Sabha elections. He also thanked K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Chief Minister of Telangana and the President of the TRS, for launching various welfare schemes and development projects.
Speaking about the TRS, Mr. Raju said, he is sure the TRS would play a vital role in the formation of the Central Government by winning a majority of the Lok Sabha seats in the State.
Mr. Reddy would be contesting against Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, the MP candidate representing the Indian National Congress (INC) from Chevella, in the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.
Telangana will contest a total of 17 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, scheduled on the 11th of April.
The major parties contesting the elections are the INC, the BJP and the TRS.
After the Telangana Assembly elections in 2018, there are high chances of the TRS winning the Lok Sabha elections.
The results of the Telangana Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
