Manoj Baitha a suspended BJP leader surrendered after being accused of mowing down nine school children. Baitha has been on the run ever since he was accused of drunk driving his SUV resulting the loss of nine children. The disgraced politician was on the run since Saturday and surrendered today at Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
After the arrest, the police took him to a hospital in Patna to treat his wounds from the accident. The police decided not to take the accused to a hospital in Muzaffarpur to avoid a confrontation with any of the victim’s relatives. Baitha will be produced in Court later today.
In a shocking incident, the BJP leader took the lives of 9 children and injured 20 people. Baitha’s speeding Bolero rammed into a group of parents and children standing outside a Government school in Muzaffarpur. After the accident Baitha made a run for it.
Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi and RJD’s Lalu Prasad Yadav attacked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The opposition alleged BJP was shielding the former party member.
