As of now, 5:00 P.M., Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the 28th of February, is conducting a mega video conference, named ‘Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot’ programme.

Mr. Modi is addressing approximately 1 crore workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) belonging to more than 15,000 locations across India.

The BJP claims, the conference is the world’s largest video conference. The conference is said to be a campaign strategy of the Party for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.

PM Modi began the conference with the statement, “India will fight as one, India will win as one.” The event was organised to interact with the BJP workers and instruct and prepare them for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Modi also spoke about the current scenario between Pakistan and India and assured all the people attending the conference that India will fight back.

Amit Shah, the President of the BJP, said, the citizens of Indian can raise their queries and connect to the meeting through the NaMo app. They can also drop their messages on social media platforms, with #MeraBoothSabseMazboot.

Conducting the conference and highlighting the campaign agenda for the upcoming elections amid tensions between Pakistan and India grabbed a lot of negative comments from the opposition parties.

Anti BJP parties, which deemed the BJP President as insensitive towards the sacrifice of the 40 soldiers who were killed in the Pulwama attack, took to Twitter and expressed their thoughts regarding the video conference.

However, the BJP ignored their criticism and continued speaking about the main agenda of the Party and the steps to be taken for the Lok Sabha elections.

The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled between April and May 2019 and the major parties contesting are the Indian National Congress (INC) and the BJP.

Stay tuned for further updates.
