Manthan Chavan, a 19 year old ground staff member of GoAir airlines in Nagpur, committed suicide, on the 30th of May.
Manthan allegedly hanged himself on the 30th of May, around 2:45 P.M., at his residence in Chandramani Nagar. He committed suicide after wishing his mother on her birthday, who is a police officer working with the Nagpur Police.
According to sources, Manthan hanged himself with an iron rod of a ventilator.
Manthan’s father said, the reason behind the extreme step is not known, however, it may be the work stress.
Kailash Magar, the police official of Ajni Police Station, is leading the suicide case.
According to Mr. Magar’s initial interrogation, Manthan was on leave due to jaundice for two weeks.
Magar said, “No suicide note was found at the spot, from where a piece of paper was recovered with the message, Happy birthday mummy I am sorry’.” He further said, “We are conducting a detailed investigation into the case.”
The Ajni Police registered a case and are investigating the matter.
