K. Laxman, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana, on the 11th of June, asked the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) the State Government, to solve the missing people cases.

In the last 45 days, approximately 545 people including kids, senior citizens, middle age men and women and youth went missing in Telangana.

According to the sources, the majority of missing cases were registered in Hyderabad and its nearby areas.

Although the Telangana Police is investigating the case, they do not have any leads as of now.

A statement by the Police read, “All possible efforts have been made by the police with the help of family members in tracking and tracing the missing people.” It further stated, “There is a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to be followed by all the Investigation Officers for effective tracking and tracing of the missing persons and it is not correct to say that police have been neglecting the cases of investigation of missing persons.”

Mr. Laxman blamed the State Government for the kidnapping of girls and said, “The growing number of girls who are missing shows that some gangs are expanding their activities due to the State Government not responding in time.”

K. Laxman demanded K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, take an interest in the case and constitute a special team to investigate and solve the case.

Stay tuned for further updates.
