Lakhs of devotees, on the 19th of April, started a grand procession, the Shobha Yatra, to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti in Telangana.
The procession began at 8:00 A.M., from the Gowliguda Ram temple and will end at Veeranjaneya Swami Temple in Tadbund, Secunderabad.
Devotees gathered together at the Gowliguda Ram Temple to start the Shobha Yatra and will cover 12 kilometres. The areas which will be covered during the procession are Gowliguda, Kachiguda, Narayanaguda, RTC Crossroads, the Bible House and Bata in Telangana.
The Hyderabad Police, Anjani Kumar, the Commissioner of Police (CP,) Dana Kishor, the Commissioner of the Great Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) arranged high security for the grand rally.
Approximately 8,000 police staff and 400 plus CCTV cameras were set up for the smooth movement of the rally.
The security was increased in the City, as Good Friday and Hanuman Jayanti fell on the same day. The Hyderabad Police are on high alert and are monitoring the procession from the Control Room.
Hyderabad will witness high traffic from 8:00 A.M., to 8:00 P.M., on the 19th of April. The Hyderabad Police took to Twitter and advised people to avoid the areas from where the procession will pass.
