Kalvakuntla Kavitha, the Member of Parliament (MP) of the Nizamabad constituency, on the 7th of April, addressed a public rally in Nizamabad, Raikal and Jagtial, Telangana, ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
K. Kavitha, a member of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) addressed a roadshow as a part of her campaign, in Raikal, Jagtial and Nizamabad.
During the roadshow, Kavitha spoke about the situation in the Nizamabad constituency, where approximately 179 farmers filed their nominations against Kavitha.
Ms. Kavitha expressed her confidence about winning the elections and said, “I have full faith in my farmers.” Further, she said, some of the farmers are supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC) and want the TRS to lose in the constituency.
Ms. Kavitha also spoke about the welfare schemes and development projects launched by the Telangana Government. She said, the TRS Government is doing everything possible for the benefit of the residents of the State and urged the people to vote for the Party.
Kavitha criticized the BJP and the INC and said, the other parties should start taking their manifestos seriously and should start thinking about the development of their parties.
Ms. Kavitha appreciated the efforts of the TRS Government and said, like Telangana, India also needs a leader like K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.
Telangana will contest a total of 17 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, scheduled on the 11th of April 2019.
The major parties contesting the Telangana Lok Sabha elections are the TRS, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC.)
The results of the Telangana Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
