Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the new Chief Minister (CM) of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) signed a document concerning pension for the aged, which is his first signature on a document, after becoming the CM of AP.

Mr. Reddy ordered an increase in the pension for the aged by Rs. 3,000, in a phased manner over 4 years.

Jagan Mohan Reddy, the President of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) took oath as the CM, at 12:23 P.M., in front of E.S.L. Narasimham, the Governor of AP.

Apart from an increase in the pension, Reddy promised to launch several schemes for the welfare of the citizens of AP.

He also said, the YSRCP will soon implement the Navaratnalu scheme after the formation of the new Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Reddy is expected to expand his Government and induct Cabinet Ministers on the 7th of June.

Mr. Reddy will take over as the CM of Andhra Pradesh from the 1st of June.
