Prime Minister Narendra Modi starts mobile banking workshop for PMO

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to demonetize Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes is a major milestone for the Indian economy. It may have earned some backlash but amidst this, the PM stands strong by his decision and has urged the Nation to go cashless and increase digital economy.

In a move to push this idea of digital cashless economy, the Prime Minister’s Office held a training workshop for its staff about Mobile Banking. The official release about this meet said that “The workshop aimed to train and initiate them in the process of mobile banking and conducting daily transactions through mobile applications such as UPI, e-wallets etc.” 

The Officers demonstrated the process of cashless transactions and helped their staff members download the relevant mobile apps on their phones,” it added.

The Officials from the State Bank of India and MyGov were also present on the location . “Officers, including Principal Secretary Nripendra Misra and Additional Principal Secretary P.K. Mishra, conducted a workshop for the staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, located at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg,” release said.

Prime Minister Modi in his monthly radio talk Mann ki Baat, urged the Nation to turn India into a cashless economy and requested people to learn mobile and Internet banking.
