The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on the 15th of July, announced class 10th results for the academic year 2019-2020.

The CBSE announced results of nesrly 18.89 lakh students who appeared for class 10th exams.

This year, more than 41,000, which is equal to 2.23 % of total students scored above 95%.

Speaking about the school wise performance in 2020, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan school or KV, recorded the highest pass percentage which is 99.23 %

Meanwhile, zone wise, Trivandrum scored highest passing percentage 99.28 %, followed by Chennai 98.95 %, Bengaluru 98.23 %, Pune 98.05 %, Ajmer 96.93 %, Panchkula 94.31%, Bhubaneswar 93.20 %, Bhopal 92.86 %, Chandigarh 91.83%, Patna 90.69%, Dehradun 89.72 %, Prayagraj 89.12 %, Noida 87.51%, Delhi West 85.96 %, Delhi East 85.79 % and Guwahati 79.12 %.

Girls outscore boys with 93.31% and boys scored 90.14 %.

The CBSE class 10th results were announced as per the marks obtained in three examinations only, as the remaining paper were cancelled due to the pandemic crisis, the Novel Coronavirus.

The CBSE has awarded marks based on an average of the highest three marks obtained in subjects, which exams were conducted.
