Union Education Minister Announces JEE (Advanced) Exam Dates To Be October 3

On the 26th of July, Monday, Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education Minister announced the dates for the JEE (Advanced) 2021 examination.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is conducted to get admissions in the top Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) colleges in India.

The JEE (Advanced) examination is scheduled for the 3rd of October. The announcement was made through Twitter, which read, “JEE (Advanced) 2021 examination for admission in IITs will be held on the 3rd October, 2021. The examination will be conducted adhering to all COVID-19 protocols.”

Initially the exam was scheduled in May, however due to the Wuhan virus (Novel Coronavirus) outbreak, the exam was delayed. Unlike every year, this time the National Testing Agency (NTA) is organising the JEE exams In four sessions. Of the four sessions, two have already been held between the 23rd-26th February and the 16th-18th of March, respectively. The third session, which was scheduled in April-May has now been postponed to October, whereas the last session is expected to be held in December 2021.

Besides the JEE (Advanced) the final session of the JEE (Mains,) the qualifying test to appear for the JEE (Advanced) would be conducted on the 3rd of September. After the results, the NTA would conduct the JEE (Advanced) in October.

In addition, students who failed to appear for JEE (Advanced) in 2020 are allowed to write the IIT entrance exam in 2021.

The official notice and details including shifts, timings, centre names are available on jeeadv.ac.in. The registration dates for the JEE (Advanced) is yet to be announced.

It is to be noted, top 2.5 lakh students would be eligible to appear for the entrance exam.
