Karachi: At least 43 persons were killed and several others injured on Wednesday in Karachi in Pakistan when eight gunmen opened fire on a bus.
According to police, eight unidentified men with arms on motorcycles opened fire on the bus at Safoora Chorangi. Nearly 20 people were severely injured in the attack and death toll is expected to rise. The dead and injured were shifted to a hospital.
Usually groups like Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Taliban carry out such attacks. However, nobody took the responsibility for today’s attack. More than 60 people were on the board when the attack took place. The bus was carrying the passengers of Ismaili community from Al-Azhar Garden area to Aysha Manzil.
