The Mercer’s Quality of Living Survey 2019 ranked Hyderabad as the 143rd best city to live in the world.
Mercer is the world’s largest human resources consulting firm. The Company conducts an analysis every year and ranks the top cities in the world in terms of their living standards.
The New York based company works in the fields of health, wealth and career.
On the 13th of March, the Mercer Quality of Living Survey revealed the best cities to live in the world in 2019.
The list included 231 cities with the best standards of living in the world, including 7 Indian cities.
Apart from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi were also in the list securing the 149th, 143rd, 151st, 154th, 160th and 162nd position respectively.
The Company releases the list every year, taking into account the standards of living, how the multinational companies and the other organisations in the city compensate their staff as per international standards and cleanliness.
The survey also considers factors like housing, crime rates, political stability, leisure, air pollution, infrastructure, health system, education and economy. The cities are selected based on these criteria.
