On the 11th of July, England won the One Day International (ODI) match against Australia in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup’s semi finals at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground, England.
This year, the ICC World Cup is being hosted by England. The World Cup started on the 30th of May and will continue until the 14th of July.
In the 47th ODI match, Team England won against Australia with 8 wickets. Team England scored 226 runs, with a loss of 2 wickets after 50 overs. Australia, on the other hand, scored 223 runs and lost 10 wickets after 49 overs.
Chris Woaks, a player of Team England was the Man of the Match in yesterday’s match, as he did not allow the Australian team to score more than 20 runs in 10 overs with a loss of 3 wickets.
On the other hand, Jason Roy was the star player of Team England who scored 85 runs off 65 balls, followed by Joe Root with a score of 49 runs off 46 balls.
With this tremendous win,Team England secured a seat in the finals of the ICC series and will play against New Zealand.
The finals of the ICC World Cup 2019 is scheduled on the 14th of July, at 3:00 P.M.
