A monitor on Friday said that the Islamic State jihadist group has executed at least 24 civilians after seizing a village in northern Syria from a US-backed Kurdish-Arab alliance.
The village is located nearly 10 kilometres northwest of Manbij. It is a key waypoint between the IS de facto capital of Raqa city and the Turkish border.
After taking Buyir from the Syrian Democratic Forces, the Islamic State executed 24 civilians, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
