Kangaroo Kept As Pet Kills 77 Year Owner In Australia

In Australia’s town of Redmond, a wild kangaroo is suspected of killing a 77 year old man who was keeping it as a pet.

On the 13th of September, the Australian Police confirmed the incident, which is the first fatal roo attack in 86 years.  The first such Kangaroo attack happened in 1939.

Getting into the details, the man, who has not been identified yet was found at his residence in the town in a seriously injured state.  “It is believed the man had been attacked by the kangaroo earlier in the day,” said a state police spokesman.  The spokesman further said, “At the property, there was a kangaroo that was preventing the ambulance crew from accessing the injured man.”

Furthermore, the police said they had to shoot and kill the animal, as it “was posing an ongoing threat to emergency responders” at the spot.  The kangaroo was believed to be a wild animal being kept by the man as a pet and attacked him.
