North Korea refuses to take the side of peace and instead has threatened the United States yet again. At present, America is backing a proposal to impose the toughest sanctions on Pyongyang which has to be approved by the United Nations Security Council this week.

The Foreign Minister of North Korea, Ri Yong Ho released a statement that warned the United States to not back the sanction or they will not hesitate to take measures of their own.

The United States has called for a vote on Monday to implement a new United Nations sanction against North Korea.

On Tuesday last week, America sent out a draft resolution that proposed the toughest sanction on North Korea and gave six days to vote on the matter. The sanction would include a ban on all oil and natural gas exports to the country. It will also freeze all foreign financial assets of the North Korean government and its leader, Kim Jong Un.

The statement by the Trump government read, “The US is trying to use the DPRK’s (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) legitimate self defensive measures as an excuse to strangle and completely suffocate it.”

It further added, “Since the US is revealing its nature as a blood thirsty beast obsessed with the wild dream of reversing the DPRK’s development of the state nuclear force which has already reached the completion phase, there is no way that the DPRK is going to wait and let the U.S. feast on it.”

North Korea has been conducting nuclear tests on a regular basis and launching ballistic missiles. These practices are violating United Nations resolutions and have lead to multiple sanctions against the country. But with each sanction, the country has conducted even more nuclear tests.
