The House of Representatives voted to impeach Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America (U.S.A.)

On the evening of the 18th of December, the House of Representatives voted for Donald Trump’s impeachment on the grounds of abuse of power.  The House of Representatives declared Donald Trump is a threat to the Nation. The debate regarding the impeachment between the Democrats and the Republicans went on for 11 long hours.

The representatives impeached President Donald Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

The Democrats and the Republicans voted for two articles of impeachment and approved it with a majority of 229 votes.

While 229 votes supported the impeachment, 197 were against it.

The impeachment came after a recent Ukraine scandal.  Donald Trump pressured Ukraine’s President to investigate Joe Biden, a veteran Democrat who could be Trump’s potential challenger in the 2020 Presidential elections.

With this, Mr. Trump is the third U.S., President to be impeached and will face a trial in the Senate.  The trial would decide if Donald Trump would be removed from office before the 2020 elections.

The impeachment came at a time when Donald Trump was addressing a public rally in Michigan, U.S.A.

Approved by the House of Representatives, the two articles of impeachment against Donald Trump would be heard in the Senate, after which the final decision would be made.

Stay tuned for further updates.
