A lion has been shot dead after straying from a national park and attacking a man outside the capital of Nairobi. Paul Udoto, a spokesman for the Kenya Wildlife Service said on Wednesday that the animal was killed by wildlife officials after it injured a man in the Kajiado district, some 57 kilometres from Nairobi.
The death of Mohawk, a majestic 13-year-old big cat so named because of the shape of his black mane, sparked an outcry among Kenyans.
