The United States announced a reward of 5 million dollars for information about the culprits behind the 26/11 Mumbai attack. The administration also urged the Pakistan government to take action against the terrorists behind the 26/11 attack, on Sunday.

Michael Pompeo, the U.S. Secretary of State, announced a reward of 5 million dollars under the U.S. Department of State’s Rewards for Justice (RFJ) programme, on the 10th anniversary of the 26/11 attack.

According to Mr. Pompeo’s announcement, any individual who provides information leading to the arrest of those who committed, conspired to commit or had any sort of involvement in the Mumbai attack, will be rewarded.

Mike said, “It is an affront to the families of the victims that, after ten years, those who planned the Mumbai attack have still not been convicted for their involvement.” He further added, “We stand with the families and friends of the victims, whose loved ones were lost in this act of barbarism, including six American citizens.”

The Department of State issued two more rewards earlier. One of the rewards was a bounty issued for the Lashkar e Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Mohammad Saeed and another for Hafiz Abdul Rahman Makki, a senior leader of LeT.

The Mumbai terror attack on the 26th of November, 2008, left the nation in shock. A Pakistan based terrorist group, LeT, spread violence and terror in Mumbai, the financial hub of India. Approximately 166 people were killed in the attack and many were injured. The families who lost their loved ones are still waiting for justice against the 10 armed men who were responsible for the attack.

In the remembrance of the victims and the officers who lost their lives in the terror attack, a ceremony was organized at a police memorial in Mumbai, today. Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, attended the ceremony which was scheduled at 9:30 A.M., along with the families of the victims and the officers.
