The Banjara Hills West Zone Task Force Police busted a sex racket in the area of Banjara Hills Road No. 12, Hyderabad, on Sunday.
The police raided two five star hotels in Banjara Hills and arrested 4 people who were allegedly running the racket in the area. Out of the 4 accused, 3 were identified as Sravani Kumari, M. Ramana and Vijay Shankar. Mobile phones and cash belonging to all the accused were also seized.
S. Ravinder, Inspector, Panjagutta Police Station, said, the police received information about the prostitution rackets being conducted in the area of Banjara Hills. The police then raided five star hotels like Taj Deccan and arrested two brokers and two actresses, one a Bollywood actress and another a television actress.
According to the initial investigation, Sravani Kumari is the main accused who is running several prostitution rackets in the city. Sravani is from West Godavari district, but resides in Yousufguda.
The police registered a case and launched an investigation, which is currently underway.
