Aero India 2019 Asia’s largest military aviation exhibition will be hosted in Bengaluru. The event is scheduled for the 20th to the 24th of February.
There were speculation that Aero India 2019 would be in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This rumor arose when UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharam to hold the event in his state. After many weeks of suspense the Government finally confirmed that Bengaluru will host the Aero India 2019.
According to sources, the Karnataka Government pressured the Center to conduct the Aero India 2019 in Bengaluru. Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the event.
The five day event will be a combination of major trade exhibition for the aerospace and defense industries with public air shows. It will be an opportunity for the aviation industry to share information, ideas and new development. The show will be a large platform for the dealers, global investors to showcase the latest fighter aircrafts, cargo planes and defense equipment.
